  28. SUREFIRE DEMO/TUTORIAL

  30. To quickly get the feel of Surefire, we recommend that you first go
  31. through the Demo/Tutorial. It shows you the basics of Surefire
  32. through various examples.  The Demo/Tutorial is found in the file
  33. sfdemo.zip.

  35. To run the Demo/Tutorial after installation, type "sfdemo" at the
  36. DOS prompt.

  38. RUNNING SUREFIRE
  39.  
  40. To run Surefire after installation, type "surefire" at the DOS prompt.
  41. The Surefire program may be found in the file surefi.zip.
  42.  
  43. When Surefire comes up, you will be looking at the representation of
  44. an 8 1/2 by 11 inch page with standard margins. There is a menu bar
  45. across the top with 7 pull down menus. Use the F-10 key and the
  46. arrow keys to access the menus. Pressing F-1 gives you a description
  47. of what you are looking at. Typing ALT+X allows you to leave Surefire.

  49. ON-LINE DOCUMENTATION

  51. Included with your evaluation copy of Surefire there is a companion
  52. 180 page version of the Surefire User's Guide. This is in the file
  53. sfdoc.zip and unpacked into the text file, "sfdoc.txt". You may
  54. print this file or look at it by using the DOS command "type".

  56. When running Surefire, on-line context sensitive help is available
  57. by pressing F-1. Press Esc to close the help window.

  59. SUREFIRE ZIP FILES

  61. If you purchase SUREFIRE from a vendor you should find surefi.zip and
  62. sfdemo.zip on Disk 1 and sfdoc.zip on Disk 2. If you are downloading
  63. SUREFIRE from CompuServe, each .zip file requires a separate download.

  65. OTHER SUREFIRE PRODUCTS

  67. Surefire Contacts is a contact management system implemented using
  68. Smart Documents. You may find Surefire Contacts on CompuServe in the
  69. file sfcont.zip or check your vendor's catalog.

  72. REGISTRATION

  74. To use SUREFIRE - THE SMART DOCUMENT PROCESSOR after your initial
  75. free evaluation period of 30 days, you must register your usage with
  76. Piaf, Inc. (International Users see below.) You may choose from 2
  77. registration options. After reviewing these options, print out a copy
  78. of the registration form (register.txt), fill in the form, then mail
  79. it to:

  89. to be as important as the product and should be part of your evaluation.
